Slacknet Communications is currently in talks with The Umbrella Group about purchasing of Slacknet. Please don't be alarmed, this could actually help us because having a larger company own us will help purchase more servers and grow much faster.

You may have seen "Jim" and several other people from Umbrella poking around and lurking on IRC for the past couple of weeks, this is because they're interested to see if buying all of Slacknet's resources would be in their best interest. I honestly would not consider it if it wasn't in our best interest as well.
